If you are looking for a small, ladylike watch, this is not it, because the watch face is enormous! I bought this for myself, and am generally very pleased with the watch; however, I was quite taken aback when I saw how large the watch face is. I don''t usually wear watches that big. I bought this Audemars Piguet AR09113 Royal Oak Offshore Brown Automatic Online Sale as a birthday gift for my niece and she has yet to receive it. I would never have chosen purple for myself and can imagine that the neutral colors would look quite nice. For her, I think this is great. I hope she gets/understands the oversized style (which I love). The band is super! No comment yet on how well it performs.

this Royal Oak watch is so beutiful in florescent light but the stones are set so deep that they do not sparkle in natural light. Peerhaps mine is an exception but all I see is th casting. I love the color combinatin and am very disappointd.

The band is hard to adjust: the pins holding the band links together are a bit fragile so its hard to remove and re-installed after removing links. Its easy to view the time and appears to be fairly rugged like my Wenger Swiss Army watch, but at a lower cost. We will see if holds up like my Wenger which lasted 10 hard years without trouble.
